Kansas Governor Laura Kelly made several appointments to state boards and commissions on Monday.
Zack Vincent was appointed to the Advantage Kansas Coordinating Council, which works to align the education system with the needs of state agencies and business to develop retain and attract Kansans.
David Shriver, of Olathe, received an appointment and Brett Fletcher, of Circleville, a reappointment to the Kansas Propane and Education and Research Council. This group focuses on the improvement of propane programs for both consumer and employee in multiple areas.
Sand Praeger, of Lawrence, and Rebekah Gaston, of Lawrence, were both appointed to the Kansas State Employee Health Care Commission, which sets insurance rates and structure for state employees in Kansas.
Last but not least is Shelby Fry from Auburn, who was reappointed to the State Use Law Committee.
This group advises the director of purchases on issues surround the purchase of products and services provided by people who are blind or disabled.
