Second man charged in fatal shooting at Lake of the Ozarks
LAKE OZARK, Mo. (AP) – Authorities have charged a second man in a fatal shooting at an entertainment venue at the Lake of the Ozarks.
Camden County prosecutors charged 23-year-old Craig Hawkins Jr. with second-degree murder and first-degree assault on Thursday.
Twenty-nine-year-old Chad Brewer was charged Wednesday with first-degree murder and drug charges. The two men are suspects in the shooting death of 27-year-old Vonza Watson on May 29 at the Lazy Gators entertainment venue.
Watson was a rapper and visual artist known a VNZA. Court documents allege Hawkins hit Watson several times during a fight involving several people.
Authorities allege Brewer fired a shot during the fight that struck Watson in the chest.
