After a year without a song, the MSSU Choral Society returns
After a year “without a song”, the MSSU Choral Society will sing again!
With the modification of protocols, the summer session of the well-known area-wide mixed chorus, the MSSU Choral Society, begins Monday, June 7 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Phinney Hall of the Music Building at MSSU.
There are no auditions, but it is hoped the singers have had some experience in a choir in the past, and all singers are welcome. The class fee is $30 for the summer session of choral singing. The cost includes the use of music.
MSSU requires that singers wear a mask at all times while rehearsing and performing in the Choral Society. Singers are required to provide their own masks.
The choir will prepare for a patriotic concert in late July with engaging and fun-to-sing music.
Melissa Belk returns as conductor of the group, and Clint Newby returns as accompanist.
