Carl Junction Police Find Counterfeit Money

Authorities in Carl Junction have gotten their first report of counterfeit money being passed this Holiday shopping season.

With this being the busiest time of the year for shopping, Police are advising that if you receive cash, you should check the larger bills of $20 and up for signs of counterfeiting . You can look for official markings and to you should check the printing quality and the paper of the bills you’ve received.

The Carl Junction Police say, on their official Facebook page, that if you’re still unsure if you have a counterfeit currency, you can give them or another law enforcement agency a call.
