Two Missouri bills, if passed, would honor the late Rush Limbaugh
The bill was promoted by Missouri Senator Holly Rehder
Two bills sponsored by Missouri State Senator Holly Rehder on Tuesday would name a six-mile stretch of Insterstate 55 in Cape Girardeau the Rush Limbaugh Memorial Highway.
Also, Limbaugh’s birthday, Jan. 12, would be celebrated each year as Rush Limbaugh Day.
The bill would not create a new state holiday. Therefore, schools, government offices, and banks would remain open.
Neither bill received votes.
If the bills are approved by either committee, if would have to be passed by both the House and Senate by the time the legislation sessions adjourns on May 14.
