Joplin voters elect Hartwell, Hird to school board
The Joplin School Board has two new members. 25-year-old Rylee Hartwell and 52-year-old John Hird will join the board after being voted in by Joplin residents Tuesday.
They replace Lori Musser and Debbie Fort, both of whom did not seek re-election.
Unofficially, Hartwell had the most votes with 1,161. Hird (846) received 20 more than the third candidate, Joshua Bard.
