(AP) – Authorities say a driver has died in a fiery crash in Kansas City that also injured two police officers and a firefighter who were attempting to rescue the driver. Police said in a news release that the crash happened Sunday afternoon on Northwest Roanridge Road after a northbound car missed a curve in the road, flew down an embankment and flipped before catching fire. Police say the driver was trapped in the burning wreckage. Police say officers, firefighters and bystanders tried unsuccessfully to put out the fire and rescue the driver, who died at the scene.
