Parsons Police increasing enforcement of roadway safety rules.
From February 22 to March 5, the Parsons Police Department will join law enforcement agencies from Kansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma to show increased enforcement of roadway safety near high schools, according to a media release.
Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for teens, mainly the 15-18 years old age bracket, in the United States.
Officers will be issuing citations to any individual who refuses to obey the traffic laws, whether it is for speeding, texting, or failing to buckle up.
