Parsons shooting suspect arrested hours after shooting.
After a previous shooting that left a man dead Thursday, Parsons Police arrested suspect Malcom Marquis Odom at 7:20 pm in the 1400 block of Partridge in Parsons, according to Parsons Police.
After searching abandoned houses, police took Malcom Marquis Odom, who was hiding under a couch in a residence, into custody.
Odom was also wanted by the Kansas Department of Corrections for previous felony violations.
Parsons Police are requesting that the Labette County Attorney’s Office charge Odom with Murder in the 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Criminal Discharge of a Firearm, Criminal Carrying of a Weapon, and Criminal use of Weapons.
