Governor Parson praised Covid-19 Vaccination efforts Monday
Monday, Governor Mike Parson highlighted Missouri’s Covid-19 vaccination efforts. With the help of the Missouri National Guard, Department of Health and Senior Services, State Emergency Management, and local healthcare partners have completed 18 mass vaccination clinics across the state.
From those events, 38,400 Missouri residents have received their initial vaccines.
To date, more than 698,400 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been administered to Missourians across the state. More than 531,000, or 8.7 percent, of Missourians have received an initial dose vaccination. On Thursday, Missouri hit its highest daily record for doses administered with 47,761 doses given in a single day.
In addition to the state’s efforts, the federal government announced a new Federal Retail Pharmacy Program last week. This program will allocate a limited number of vaccines to a limited number of participating pharmacies across the nation.
