Springfield shooting injures one Tuesday morning.

UPDATE:

From the Springfield Police Department’s Twitter page Tuesday afternoon at 4:55 PM, “The driver of the stolen vehicle has been identified as 27-year-old Maggie Thrift. She was arrested for outstanding warrants not related to this case. The case will be presented to the Greene County Prosecutor for review and filing charges.”

A Springfield shooting involving police left one injured from the incident Tuesday morning.

A stolen car was identified by an officer at the Fast N’ Friendly in the 500 block of West Chestnut Expressway.

That officer attempted to stop the driver of the vehicle, but she made an attempt to hit the officer with her car. He then fired shots at her.

Despite multiple gunshot wounds, she was able to escape but was later found on Commerical Street by officers.

The incident is under investigation.
