Meeting slated for Monday night to discuss TIF proposal
The push continues to try to get a Tax Increment Financing (“TIF”) district in an area south on Hammons Boulevard from where it intersects with 32nd Street in Joplin.
The Woodsonia Real Estate Group is seeking a TIF agreement of just under $29 million of the $188 million dollar total development cost.
The development would include a Menards store, multifamily dwellings and renovation of the old Holiday Inn which is now vacant.
There will be a meeting to discuss the TIF at 6 p.m. Monday night in City Council Chambers to discuss the issue.
