Semi carrying 36,000 pounds of grain has rollover accident Wednesday morning.

A Wednesday morning accident caused a semi carrying 36,000 pounds of grain to roll over on its side when it was traveling down Locust Road in Jasper County. The incident happened just after 11:30 AM.

Originally reported to Jasper county Emergency 911, Avilla Fire Department and Mercy EMS both responded.

The driver was uninjured.

The roadway was shut down and the seed was bagged on pallets, which did not appear to have any breaches in its packaging.

The road was reopened just after 3:30 PM.
