Teachers face challenges with Covid-19
One of the biggest challenges that Covid-19 has brought with it is the change to school learning environments. Schools kicked off another year just a few months ago and it’s been a whole new set of terrain for teachers to navigate. A 17-year-old veteran told published sources that it was like being a first year teacher all over again. “No matter how well you know your curricular area, everything just had to be adapted virtually.” The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education says that 69 percent of the state’s 557 districts and charters have at this point either adopted fully virtual or a hybrid blend of classes.
