Two fatal shootings happened overnight in St. Louis

Two fatal shootings overnight have pushed St. Louis’ death toll due to homicides in 2020 to over 200. One victim was found fatally shot late Thursday inside a car that had crashed into a cemetery fence. The second victim was found fatally shot between two homes. No arrests have been made in either shooting. St. Louis had 194 killings in all of 2019. The city has been an area with one of the highest per capita murder rates in the U.S. for many years.
