Secretary of State Ashcroft visits Jasper County ahead of the states 200 year celebration

Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft was in Carthage today, and he came to the city bearing gifts.  Ashcroft presented Jasper County with the Missouri Bicentennial Banner.  The Banner commemorates the 200 years since the State of Missouri became the 24th state in the Union back on August 10th, 1821. All next year, the state will celebrate the Bicentennial.
