Senate unanimously passes Hawley bill banning TikTok from government-issued devices

It appears as though the TikTok app will not be allowed on government-issued devices. Missouri US Senator Josh Hawley’s proposed legislation to ban the video-sharing app from those devices over privacy and national security concerns has passed thru the Senate unanimously.

Hawley originally introduced that bill back in March but now Trump has even floated the idea of banning it entirely in the United States as Forbes notes that the State Department, Department of Homeland Security, The Defense Department, and TSA have already banned the app from government-issued devices.
