Joplin School board approves reopening plan
Joplin High School students will have in-person classes this fall but on alternating days. They’ll be split into two groups with students using computers provided by the district on days they aren’t physically in class.
The vote came just two days after the school board had a tie on the plan. Debbie Fort was not in attendance Tuesday night but voted yes for the plan Thursday night. Principal Dr. Steven Gilbreth hopes the plan will help social distancing.
Masks will be required for students of all grade levels when they get to school, transition from class to class, and for when they leave school. The first day of school is set for Monday August 24th.
