James River Church hosting grocery giveaway in Joplin

With many being laid off from their jobs during this coronavirus pandemic, one local church is helping out those in need.

James River Church, in conjunction with Convoy of Hope, is hosting a grocery giveaway outreach Sunday, between 3 and 6 PM at the Victory Sports complex at 3405 Hammonds Blvd., just east of Sam’s Club in Joplin. There will be free hot dogs and ice cream.

In addition, they are accepting donations of some essential items they are needing to make sure they are prepared:

– White Bread
– Soup /Spaghetti Sauce – Canned meat
– Dry Pasta
– Cereal
– Peanut butter
– Rice

If you would like to help – you can drop off your donation at 3405 Hammonds Blvd., just east of Sam’s Club in Joplin, Saturday morning from 9 AM – noon.
