Missouri will NOT depend on others for PPE’s in the future
Gov. Parson answered questions at the Capital in the Vast rotunda. The meeting exclusively for the press followed strict guidelines for distancing from him and each other.
During the conference, the Governor talked about the states shortage of PPE (personal Protective Equipment). He says the masks and protective equipment shortage has taught him something saying “… next time around I’m not going to be dependent on other countries and I’m not going to depend on other states.” Parsons went on to say that the things we need we can do ourselves in Missouri. He was looking at it from a preparedness standpoint as well as a economic standpoint calling it a “business opportunity’ for Missourians.
The FBI is looking into the tens-of-thousands of recalled masks that Missouri and other states purchased that were unsafe. A refund for the defective masks, purchased from China, have not been received.
