New Coronavirus Case In Newton County; Three Recover

The number of COVID-19 cases in Newton County has risen to six. According to the Newton County Health Department, this is a travel related case and the patient is in isolation. Their household contacts are also self quarantined.

In addition, the health department is happy to announce that 3 of the reported cases have since recovered and have been released from isolation.

Please continue to practice current guidelines of social distancing and staying home unless you have to go out for supplies or food. Protect yourself by practicing frequent hand washing and cleaning frequently used surfaces throughout the day.
