Springfield Man Facing Charges In Death Of Roommate

A man from Springfield is facing murder charges after the women he lives with was found dead in their home.

55-year-old John Schuck is jailed on suspicion of second-degree murder in the death of 54-year-old Tammy Colbert.

Colbert was found dead Monday morning by Springfield Police while responding to a report that a woman wasn’t breathing at a house in the 3600 block of South Fort Avenue. Police say it appeared that Colbert had been physically assaulted.
