Freeman Holds Employee Photo Contest
Freeman held a photography contest among their employees where they received hundreds of submissions. A dozen winners were chosen by their coworkers, and you’ll be able to see them on display in the hospital and the new Learning Center, which is set to open this spring as a care center for employee’s children.
The photographs represent six categories: Animals, Architecture, Four-States, Learning Center, Nature and People.
The number one vote-getter is titled Zooantics by Mark Craig depicting his granddaughter playfully posing at a zoo. Learning Center is a new category this year. Fingerpainting by Amber Morris and Carefree by Jessica Sagehorn will be hung in the new Learning Center, set to open this spring as a care center for employee’s children. Other winners’ work will be displayed in various areas of the hospital.
“I enjoy photography, and it’s just a fun way to participate with the health system,” says Greg Cobble, Freeman Manager of Retail Pharmacy, a current and past winner. His photo of an ocean-side landscape called California Blues was one of two winners in the Nature category. Cathleen Bailey also won with Water Lily.
Bird & Squirrel by Danielle Wright and Donkey by Victoria Blevins represent the Animals category winners. Heather Peterman’s Copenhagen and Through the Looking Glass by Aay Brown topped the Architecture category. Four States image winners are Venetta Banwart with Glistening Winter Day and Anita Bowers with Skies Over Four States. The People category winners are Lesley DeLaunay with Loving Touch and Sour Face from Megan Huff.
