Ribbon cutting held for Joplin NALA Read computer lab
Joplin NALA Read held a ribbon cutting today for a new computer lab at its facility on south Main in Joplin.
Executive Director Grace Clouse says the 15 new computers are a great addition for reading students.
“Students will have access to these computers to learn how to turn a computer on and off, how to search the internet, save files and all those basic skills we hope to grow in the future,” Clouse says.
Joplin NALA Read added a computer literacy program in July.
Clouse says the computer lab was made possible with the assistance of representatives from several tech companies in the area.
She says Joplin NALA Read served 129 students during its most recent program year.
