A Liberal, MO man was killed in an accident involving a bicycle in Barton County late Friday morning.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 11 a.m. on Route K in Liberal.
The Patrol says a Dynacraft BSC pedal bicycle, operated by a 69-year-old Liberal man, was traveling west when it merged into the side of a 2017 Ford F-250, driven by a 56-year-old Liberal woman.
The cyclist was taken to the Cox Hospital Barton County and was pronounced dead around 1:15 p.m.
It marked Troop D's 95th fatality in 2026.
