Lumos acquires ALLO Fiber network in Joplin

Lumos has acquired ALLO Fiber's network and customer accounts in Joplin, the company announced Friday.

The deal does not include ALLO's operations outside Joplin. ALLO will continue serving customers in more than 50 other communities.

Lumos says current ALLO customers in Joplin do not need to take any action right now. Service is expected to continue during the transition, with customers moving to Lumos near the end of 2026.

The company says it plans to use the existing Joplin fiber network as a base for additional expansion in the area.

Lumos became part of a fiber joint venture involving T-Mobile and EQT after the companies completed their acquisition of Lumos in 2025.
