A Cassville woman has been cited after police say two cats were found in poor condition inside a home days after she was expected to move out.

Tosha Wallace was issued citations in connection with animal neglect and abandonment, according to a Cassville police report.

The landlord told police she first saw two cats inside the home on Aug. 5 and told Wallace animals were not allowed there.

According to the report, one kitten was extremely weak, repeatedly losing its balance before eventually becoming unable to walk.

A second cat appeared dehydrated and was given to a neighbor.

Wallace is scheduled to appear in court Monday, Oct. 26.
