Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College (NEO) has officially announced NEO Baseball player Eliott Marin was named the recipient of the National Junior College Athletic Association Rawlings Gold Glove First Base for the 2026 spring season.
This award honors the top defensive college baseball players across Divisions I, II, and III. Baseball honorees are selected by the American Baseball Coaches Association.
"My two years at NEO gave me so much," said Eliott Marin. "I am grateful for the growth and memories my coaches and teammates gave me, and the friendships that made NEO feel like home. NEO showed me how to be a better person and gave me the opportunity to be a better baseball player. I could not think of a place I would have rather spent my first two years of college baseball. I am incredibly grateful for this award and for NEO Baseball helping achieve it."
Marin grew up in Quebec, Canada where he attended Felix Leclerc High School. He attended NEO from 2024 to 2026. While at NEO, he was one of the only two team members to pitch and play in the infield and outfield.
In Marin's two years as a Norseman, he hit .429, with 78 runs batted in, 20 doubles, and 13 home runs. Defensively, he boasted a .997 fielding percentage.
"Eliott is the kind of player every coach wants in their program," said NEO Baseball Head Coach Roger Ward. "His work ethic, toughness, competitiveness, and commitment to his teammates set him apart. The awards are a great reflection of what he accomplished, but what makes us the proudest is the way he competed every day and represented NEO Baseball. Eliott has earned every bit of this recognition, and we could not be prouder of him. He is a tremendous example of what it means to be a Norseman."
