Misdemeanor charge filed after Golden City man kicked cat to death

He kicked a cat to death.

A Golden City man has been charged after authorities say he admitted to kicking a cat that later died.

Connor Scott West faces a misdemeanor animal abuse charge in Barton County.

According to court documents, the cat’s owner found the animal bleeding in the yard after West had been at the home.

Deputies also said West and the cat’s owner had been involved in an ongoing dispute that had been getting more serious.
