Vinita man, grandma arrested in child sexual abuse material investigation

A Vinita, Oklahoma, man and his grandma are jailed after an investigation into child sexual abuse material allegedly shared on Discord.

The OSBI says 20-year-old Aiden Cooper was identified after the messaging platform reported suspected child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Investigators say they found several images and videos tied to Cooper’s account.

Cooper was arrested Thursday on allegations of possessing and distributing child sexual abuse material and violating Oklahoma’s Computer Crimes Act.

His grandmother, 64-year-old Diane Cooper, was also arrested for alleged obstruction during a search.

The investigation remains ongoing.
