A Joplin man has been indicted by a federal grand jury.

The federal grand jury unsealed an indictment against 42-year-old Christopher Wayne Boone in U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri.

Boone is charged with methamphetamine trafficking.

Co-Defendant Destiny M. Bush was also named in the indictment.

The charges stem from operations where the Missouri State Highway Patrol stopped a vehicle on I-44, recovering 5 pounds of methamphetamines.

Court papers say Boone admitted making stops in St. Louis, Missouri and Tulsa, Oklahoma to find the drug to distribute in the Joplin and Webb City areas.

The indictment was for activities that allegedly occurred on March 5 of this year.
