Miami Oklahoma officer completes DoorDash delivery after driver crashes

MIAMI, Okla. — A DoorDash delivery still reached its destination after the driver was involved in a crash.

Miami police responded to the wreck and determined where the meal was supposed to go.

Officer Karly Chase then completed the delivery herself, handing the order directly to the customer.

Police Chief Stephen Sigmon said Chase saw a need and stepped up, reflecting the department’s push for officers to serve the community beyond traditional police work.
