City of Neosho to Break Ground on New Public Safety Center
What do you think?

NEOSHO, MO – The City of Neosho will officially break ground on its new Public Safety Center on Wednesday, August 26, marking a significant milestone in the City's continued investment in public safety and public service.
The new facility will be constructed on City-owned property near the corner of E. Coler Street and N. Washington Street, approximately one and a half blocks north of the Historic Neosho Square. Once completed, the building will serve as the new home for both the Neosho Police Department and the Neosho Fire Department.
Designed as a single-story, shared public safety facility, the project will bring both departments together under one roof, creating opportunities for improved collaboration, operational efficiency, and enhanced service to the community. By incorporating shared spaces into the design, the City anticipates an estimated $1.5 million in savings compared to constructing two separate facilities.
For many years, both departments have operated from aging facilities that no longer meet the needs of modern public safety operations. The new Public Safety Center has been carefully planned to support the City's continued growth while providing firefighters, police officers, and staff with a modern, efficient, and functional workspace designed to better serve the citizens of Neosho for decades to come.
The groundbreaking ceremony represents the beginning of a transformational project that will strengthen public safety infrastructure and demonstrate the City's ongoing commitment to protecting the community through responsible planning and investment.
The public is invited to attend the groundbreaking ceremony.
