Pittsburg KS double shooting early Sunday morning - one arrested

Pittsburg Police early Sunday morning received reports of two shooting victims in an alley in the 300 block of west 20th.

The victims, one 22 and the other 23 were taken by a private car to the Pittsburg hospital.

Both later transferred to a Kansas City hospital and are reported in stable condition.

Pittsburg Police investigated and arrested 23 year old Walter Herrera Alvarez of Pittsburg.  

He is being held without bond in the Crawford County jail on two counts of aggravated battery.

Alvarez is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
