Powerball jackpot is now $1 billion

The Powerball jackpot is now $1 billion.

That's after after no one won the big prize Wednesday night.

That means the top prize is now the seventh-largest jackpot in the lottery’s history.

Any player who wins the $1 billion jackpot will have the choice of receiving the full prize amount in 29 annual payments or a lump sum payment estimated at $461.3 million.

The next Powerball drawing is Saturday night.
