State Treasurer: End of ARPA funds in Missouri soon

The end of ARPA and Covid funds is coming soon for state and local government to use.
Missouri State Treasurer Vivek Malek told Newstalk KZRG:
“We are definitely at the tail end of ARPA funds. We have till 2026 to utilize these funds and some by 27. But we don’t have a lot left in ARPA funds from the surge that we saw for the last three, four years. We did use these ARPA funds for one time investments, expenses like IT infrastructure, the road infrastructure and stuff like that. And we did not invest that in ongoing programs like some other states did, which will definitely be facing some uphill tasks going forward with some tightening of funding.“
