Man from Fairland charged with possessing meth, illegal firearm and ammunition

A man from Fairland, Oklahoma has been indicted by a Federal Grand Jury in the northern district of Oklahoma.
63-year-old Jimmie Leroy Cox, Jr. was charged with possessing a firearm and ammunition, knowing he was previously convicted of a felony.
Cox is also charged with knowingly possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute and maintaining a residence to distribute methamphetamine. Additionally, Cox knowingly possessed a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.
The Drug Enforcement Administration Tulsa Resident Office, the FBI, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol are the investigative agencies. Assistant U.S. Attorney Mandy Mackenzie is prosecuting the case.
