New Route 66 Tri State Mural to be unveiled Friday – area mayors to attend

This Friday afternoon at 1:30, the Joplin Convention and Visitors Bureau will unveil a Route 66 Tri State Mural in downtown Joplin.

Patrick Tuttle told Newstalk KZRG:

Mural park is downtown, where the Corvette is at, people know the right on the south side of the Pearl Brothers building next to the Creative Car Audio. We going to be putting in the third mural.  When we did this back in 2013, we had the Corvette, we knew we had moved for one more mural, we just kind of waited for the right opportunity. And the Route 66 centennial is next year, what a great opportunity”

Patrick Tuttle of  the Joplin Convention and Visitors Bureau also told Newstalk KZRG a lot of guests will be present at Friday’s mural unveiling;

We’ve actually invited the 11 mayors to come in and mayor Cortez and each have them will join mayor Cortez to unveil it. It’s going to be a great time. If it is raining during that time frame, we are going to move it into the 5th floor of city hall and we will have a replica of the mural and unveil it there as part of the ceremony.”

You are invited to attend.
