Early Sunday storms cause damage in the 4 states

Storm damage in the 4 states.

Reports indicate the storms that came through in the early morning hours Sunday caused damage in the Baxter Springs area including fallen trees, roof damage to some businesses, power lines down, damage to multiple downtown businesses and city buildings.  

A Carl Junction home suffered extensive damage after being struck by lightning causing a fire.  Fire fighters from Carl Junction, Oronogo, Webb City and Joplin fought the blaze.

Other 4 state area towns reported damage to fences, trees, power lines and trampolines.

Liberty Utilities reported around 2,800 power outages after the storms passed.

No injuries were reported.
