Wrongful death lawsuit filed against motorcycle rider, Joplin tavern

A lawsuit has been filed by a man from southwestern Missouri several months after his daughter was killed in an alleged drunk driving accident.
Dearman Bridgett is suing the driver of the motorcycle his daughter was riding and Frank’s Lounge at 2112 S. Main in Joplin, where he was drinking the night of the accident.
43-year-old Dee Dee Bridgett died on September 25th of last year after she was thrown from a motorcycle operated by 45-year-old Andrew Brill of Joplin.
Brill is charged with DWI involving d death, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.
The lawsuit claims Frank’s Lounge continued serving alcohol to Brill after he appeared intoxicated.
