Pittsburg man under arrest for endangerment following Tuesday standoff

On Tuesday March 25, 2025, the Pittsburg Police Department Communications received a 911 call in reference to a domestic disturbance at 215 W. Hudson Apartment B.

The caller indicated that children may be in danger and that a firearm was involved. The Pittsburg Police Department Crawford County Sheriff’s department responded, establishing a perimeter around the apartment, and evacuated neighboring apartments

The male subject inside the residence would not open the door for law enforcement and would yell at the police outside while holding one of the children in the home in his arms. At one point the male subject holding the child punched the glass window, breaking it, causing glass to fall near the children.

A short time later, the male subject opened the door and the subject was detained, and the children were taken to their mother who was also on scene.

As a result of the investigation, 22-yearold Jayvion Timberlake was placed under arrest for felony aggravated endangering a child, misdemeanor interference with law enforcement, misdemeanor domestic battery, and misdemeanor criminal damage

The residence was secured while investigators applied for a search warrant to search for illegal narcotics and firearms. A search warrant was issued, and evidence was collected from the residence

Timberlake was transported to the Crawford County Jail where he was booked in and is currently being held without bond. Mr. Timberlake is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
