Attempted murder charges filed after stabbing near Columbus

A man from southeast Kansas now faces attempted murder charges after a stabbing earlier this month.

23-year-old Nathaniel Adrian Turner, of rural Columbus, also faces two counts of aggravated child endangerment and criminal property damage.

24-year-old Gracee Faye Pritchett, also of rural Columbus, faces two counts of aggravated endangerment of a child, domestic battery, and possession of hallucinogenic drugs.

Both Turner and Pritchett are being held without bond in the Cherokee County jail pending formal charges.

The Sheriff’s Office says Turner stabbed 24-year-old Michael Towery outside of a home on Highway 7, north of Columbus, on March 9. Towery is reportedly recovering after surgery from his injuries.
