Missouri’s Government Efficiency Committee, looking out for Missouri taxpayers

The Missouri senate has their local version of DOGE.
State senator Mary Elizabeth Coleman told Newstalk KZRG how the Missouri DOGE works:
“We are reviewing the policies that have been put in place that aren’t being followed and the way you do that is for statutes. So there’s, what statutes aren’t being followed here in Missouri, what things are the permits doing that they have no authority to do, what is the budget waste? And so we’re just taking a comprehensive look at all of that, and as an important part of that, we’re asking the public to weigh in about, whereas they think things should be different.”
The chair of Missouri’s Government Efficiency Committee, state senator Mary Elizabeth Coleman went on to tell Newstalk KZRG how they will get out results of public suggestions and findings.:
“So if you go to senate.mo.gov and you click on the government efficiency committee link, you’ll find we’re putting out summaries every Monday of the public suggestions. So you can look through there and see what we’re looking at and what we’re getting. And then, we’re going to be doing press conferences with legislation that’s moving through the committee as we’re getting those things passed.”
