TRAFFIC ALERT: Three Barton County Routes CLOSED for Pipe Work Jan. 10-17

Three traffic routes in Barton county will be closed for pipe work January 10th through 17th.

The closings will take place 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday, January 10-17

Where: These three (3) routes in Barton County

• Route P between Missouri/Kansas state line and Northwest 160^th Lane west of Liberal
• Route J between U.S. Route 160 and Southwest 20^th Road west of Lamar
• Route C between Route F and Barton/Cedar county line southwest of Jerico Springs

What: MoDOT crews replacing pipes underneath the roads

Traffic Impacts:

• All lanes of affected routes CLOSED where crews are working
• All lanes of affected routes OPEN during nighttime hours and weekends
• Drivers will be able to access driveways and entrances on either side of the work zone, but will not be able to travel through the work zone
• Drivers urged to find alternate routes
• No signed detours planned
• Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone
• Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.
