Peoria Tribe of Oklahoma to discuss possible removal of elected official

The Peoria Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma says a special meeting of the Tribal Business Committee will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 6 at the Peoria Community Center at 109 Cleveland Ave. in Miami, Oklahoma.

The subject of the meeting will be discussion/approval of the removal of an elected official.

The name of the elected official was not released.

A complete agenda will be posted at the Tribal headquarters and Community Center 24 hours prior to the meeting.

The meeting was formally announced by Chief Craig Harper of the Peoria Tribe.
