Man from Marionville charged with statutory rape

Following a lengthy investigation, the Aurora Marionville Police Department served a search warrant in Marionville on Thursday and subsequently placed 20-year-old Dagon Wallace of Marionville under arrest for multiple charges, including Statutory Rape 1st degree of a 12 year old female victim.

Wallace was charged statutory rape,1st degree, with a person less than 14 years of age and with statutory rape, 1st degree, sexual intercourse with a person less than 14 years old.

Wallace also is charged with endangering the welfare of a child creating substantial risk, 1st degree, first offence with no sexual contact.

The incidents allegedly took place with two minors in 2024.

Wallace is being held in the Lawrence County Jail without bond.

He is innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
