After 25 years: Where are Ashley Freeman and Lauria Bible?

Where are Ashley Freeman and Lauria Bible?

Twenty-five years have now passed since the two teenagers from Welch, Oklahoma first went missing.

It was December 30th, 1999 when firefighters found the mobile home of Danny and Kathy Freeman in Welch, Oklahoma fully engulfed by fire.

It was later determined the couple had died from gunshots to the head.

The Freeman’s daughter Ashley and her friend Lauria Bible, both 16, were missing from the home and have not been seen since.

Some believe the two girls were tied up, raped, and tortured before being murdered but no one knows for sure.

In 2020, Ronnie Dean Busick was convicted of being an accessory to murder.

He was convicted but he only served 38 months before being released on good behavior by the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.

Two other men, Warren Phillip Welch II and David Pennington, were considered possible suspects.

However, both died long after the murders and disappearance first occurred – Welch in 2007 and Pennington in 2015.

Persons with information are asked to contact the Craig County Sheriff’s Office at 918-256-6466 or contact the OSBI at 800-522-8017 or email tips@osbi.ok.gov
