Goodman resident taken into custody on multiple charges; Weapons, meth seized
On Wednesday December 11, McDonald County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team (SRT) executed a search warrant on a residence in the 600 block of Stover Hollow Road in Goodman, Mo.
After SRT achieved containment of the residence, they began call out procedures of the subjects inside the residence. After a short time of the call out procedure, a female exited the residence where she was detained.
At that time the female was questioned about who else was inside the residence. She stated that her boyfriend Larry McFarland, who was the primary target of the investigation, was still inside the residence and was last seen in the master bedroom of the house when she came outside.
At this time, SRT continued announcing over the PA system for the subject inside the residence with no response. After waiting two hours with no response from McFarland, SRT then utilized a robot and gained access into the residence to begin clearing the structure.
As team members cleared the residence, McFarland was found hiding under clothes inside the closet in the master bedroom, and was taken into custody without incident.
After McFarland was taken into custody a search of the residence was conducted by McDonald County Detectives.
While searching the residence detectives were able to locate six weapons and 39.43 grams of suspected meth.
Larry McFarland, a convicted felon was placed on a 24 hour hold for Unlawful possession of a firearm, Delivery of Controlled Substance, and a Felony out of State warrant with a $25,000 cash bond.
