The Parsons Police Department is actively investigating a robbery that occurred outside of Pump-N-Pete’s 1430 Main, at approximately 6:30pm on December 12, 2024.

The robbery left a store clerk battered and shaken.

According to the initial reports, two unknown suspects entered the store and engaged the clerk under the guise of conducting business. The situation quickly escalated when the suspects attacked the clerk after he followed them outside of the store.

The suspects punched the clerk causing physical injuries, and forcibly took the clerk’s phone before fleeing the scene.

Police were called to the scene and with the assistance of the Labette County Sheriff’s department a drone search of the area was conducted. The Parsons Police Department is working diligently to identify and apprehend the suspects involved in this senseless act of violence.

“This type of brazen attack on a member of our community is unacceptable,” said Parsons Police Chief Robert Spinks. “Our officers are committed to bringing these suspects to justice. We urge anyone with information about this incident to come forward immediately.”

The department is reviewing surveillance footage from the store and surrounding areas and has increased patrols to ensure public safety. Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

This continues to be an on-going investigation, and citizens are encouraged to “See It, Hear It, Report It.” All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
