State senator Jill Carter – law enforcement visit southern U-S border
Missouri state senator Jill Carter recently went to the southern U-S border with a couple of local sheriffs.
What did they see?
Carter told Newstalk KZRG: “This is not the illegal immigration of the 1980s and the 1990s. This is international crime. Even if people do come across to work, they are basically extorted into giving a cut of their wages to the cartel. It’s human trafficking. Its sex trafficking. It’s gone from making $50 million a year to making $13 billion, which has allowed them to militarize. And if you could see them with their guns and ammunition, and what our law enforcement face on the border, it is just something that’s transformative.”
Carter also shared with Newstalk KZRG:
“On January 24th, we’re going to be having a town hall meeting with our local law enforcement that went down to the border with us, going over what they experienced, sharing some of the images and the videos of what we saw. And also talking about what we’re trying to do collectively to move policy input and put Missouri and our community in a better place.”
